Tequila Samba has become a standard of the light choral repertoire since it was published in Volume 1 of Encores for Choirs in 1998 – it was the only entirely new piece in that volume.
Encores for Choirs 1 is available from most music shops or direct from Oxford University Press.
Tequila Samba has been performed all over the world and by all sorts of choirs. There are currently five different performances of Tequila on Youtube!
The City of Derry Youth Choir, Somerset County Youth Choir and Surrey County Youth Choir have all recorded it.

Performance notes
Tequila Samba is for SATB with no divisions, and is easier to sing than it sounds, it always makes for a good ‘party-piece’
It works equally well a cappella or with piano.
Close harmony groups might like to note that the ranges allow for performance by ATTB.
Tequila Samba is actually one of Four Drinking Companions, available as solo or ATTB songs – SATB versions of the other three are in preparation. See Close Harmony and comic songs.
